DELIVERING CANNING VALE REGIONAL SPORTS COMPLEX
Labor MP for Tangney Sam Lim has today welcomed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese back to the electorate to announce that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver $10 million towards a new Canning Vale Sports Complex.
This election commitment will go towards three natural turf sporting fields, new club rooms and change rooms, storage, lighting and car parking.
This federal commitment would provide the remaining money needed to build this sporting complex. The WA Cook Labor Government has already committed $12.5 million towards the project, along with $2.5 million from the City of Canning.
Over 10 local sporting clubs, 59 teams and almost a thousand players along with club volunteers, social members and parents have been looking for a place to call their own.
This new complex will be a sporting destination at the core of Perth’s south-east corridor for lovers of a wide range of sports, including soccer, AFL, cricket and athletics.
It will service communities from Canning, Gosnells, Cockburn and Melville.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
