Hello! I’m Sam Lim and I am honoured to be your Federal Member for Tangney. Since I was elected in 2022, I have been working hard every day for the people of Tangney and to ensure that Tangney continues to be an incredible place to live, work, study and play.

I was born in Johor, Malaysia and worked in the Royal Malaysian Police Force before becoming a dolphin trainer. I have also run several small businesses both in Malaysia and in Australia.

I joined the WA Police Academy in 2006 and with my diverse language skills was appointed as a Diversity Engagement Officer with WA Police. In 2020 I was awarded Police Officer of the Year.
